Celebrating Success: “Women in Crypto for Boards” event at The Clubhouse, St James’s

Last Tuesday, The Clubhouse at St James’s, buzzed with energy and excitement as we hosted our latest “Women in Crypto for Boards” event! This remarkable gathering aimed to empower and inspire women leaders in the cryptocurrency space, and it did not disappoint as we had a packed out venue and a stellar line-up of speakers!

Event Highlights

The morning began with a warm welcome, breakfast and networking session, where attendees mingled and shared their diverse experiences in the crypto industry. The venue, known for its elegant and professional ambiance, provided the perfect backdrop for this high-profile event. It was wonderful to see everyone connecting, and making new friendships within the industry, as we all bonded over our shared interests and passions.

Panel Discussions and Keynotes:

The event featured an impressive line-up of speakers, including renowned industry experts and seasoned board members, Hedwige Nuyens, Julian Sawyer, Robby Yung and Eva Lawrence. They shared invaluable insights on various topics, such as:

  • Diversity and Inclusion: The importance of fostering a diverse boardroom and how it drives innovation and success.
  • Future Trends in Crypto: Exploring the latest trends and future directions in the cryptocurrency market that affect women and the industry as a whole.
  • Practical Solutions: Ways that we can introduce new thinking and processes so that equality is at the forefront of what we do.

Interactive Coaching Session:

Attendees participated in a hands-on session, “Courage and Confidence”, held by Alison Hughes and Karen Murray designed to equip them with practical skills and knowledge, to be best prepared in meeting and board scenarios. These sessions covered a range of topics, including:

  • Courage in Business: Covering how courage comes before confidence, and how resilience can be one of your greatest strengths.
  • Inner Criticism: How to cope with this, and how to rewire your thinking so that you find a positive out of this type of thinking.
  • Vulnerability: Owning your personal strengths, identifying where your vulnerabilities are and owning them too.

Networking and Feedback

The event provided ample opportunities for networking, allowing participants to forge meaningful connections with peers and industry leaders. The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the event’s organization, content, and the high caliber of speakers.

For this event, we entered all attendees into a raffle to win a free coaching session, provided for by Alison and Karen, and our lucky winner was Ran Wei! We were very pleased to present this to her and will be watching her closely as she hones her career in crypto, and we’re excited to follow her progress as she no doubt makes her way to the very top!
